Senior Teams

Knox United FC have a proud history of competing in the Mens All Age divisions for over 25 years. We pride ourselves on having the ability to cater for players coming from all degrees of experience, skill levels & ability of commitment.
Now in 2024, Knox United FC will host its very first Women’s All Age team.

Playing for Knox United offers you the chance to be a part of an ever growing and welcoming club. Providing you with many great opportunities, whether it be finding and developing friendships in our All Age Teams, or honing those skills in our MAA Premier League Squad.
We welcome all players, regardless of football background. If you’re a retuning player or someone wanting to get back into the sport from playing it at an earlier age; to wanting to play for the very first time. No affiliation with the Knox Grammar School is needed to play, all are welcome.
Regardless of what team you’re in Win, Draw or Loss. We’d love to see all our players come together and have a nice cold beer at the pub after a game, keeping the club spirit alive.

In 2024 Knox United FC will have multiple Senior teams, with the Club expand on the 5 teams in 2023.
The Knox United Senior teams for 2024 are:

  • MAA Premier League Squad (Firsts and Reserves)
  • MAA Division 3 Squad (First and Reserves)
  • MAA Division 5 Team
  • MAA Division 8 Team
  • MAA Division 9 Team
  • MAA Division 10 Team
  • WAA Division 4 Team

 

Knox United Senior Team Trials and Pre-season

  • Trials for the Premie League squad are held each year in Mid January, anyone is welcome to trial for the squad, details about the trials will be released in the new year.
  • There is no trials for our MAA Teams, but we would love to see you kicking around the ball during pre-season, starting in Late February and throughout march.
  • The club will hold a Women’s Come and try day on the 4th of February, 2024. welcome to all players interested in playing for the club. No need to register to come along for a fun day and meet other players interested in playing in the team.

When and where are the games?

  • For Men’s Premier League and Division 3 games are predominantly played on Saturday’s with Reserve team playing at 1pm and First team at 3pm. Occasionally, throughout the season there may be Friday night or Saturday night games played at 6pm and 8pm respectively.
  • The same goes for our MAA Teams, being played on Saturdays either at 1pm or 3pm, and due to shortage of field allocation the occasional Friday night, Saturday night or Sunday day game could be played.
  • WAA teams are played on Sundays either at 1pm or 3pm, and due to shortage of field allocation the occasional Friday night.

Venues can range from Brooklyn to North Sydney, depending on the other team’s home grounds in the division. The All Aage competition follows a series of 18 rounds played in a Home and Away style structure, where ideally each team plays a home game then an away game.
Knox United’s Home grounds are NTRA Ovals, Kent Oval, Curagal Fields and The Glade.

Closer to the start of the season, Fixtures and Results of matches can be found through the NSFA website.

When are trainings?
Training days for each team will be allocated in the new year, before pre-season.

  • Premier League, train 1 day a week which is mandatory for the squad. This day is normally other Tuesday or Wednesday in the evening at 7pm
  • Division 3, train 1 day a week, which isn’t mandatory but is strongly encouraged to help gain promotion for the squad.
  • For our MAA and WAA Teams, training is optional but also encouraged, this day is other Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday in the evenings.

 

What gear or uniform will i need?

  • Each player will be given a numbered playing Home Jersey at the start of the season by your manager. When the colours of our jersey clash with another team, your manager or coach will supply an Away Jersey for that round.
  • Premier League team is required to wear the Club Polo to and from games and also a Knox United training shirt at trainings and during match day warm ups. Division 3 squad are encourage to wear the training jersey to trainings and during warm ups. This is optional for our MAA and WAA Teams, but also encouraged.
  • Male and Female cut Black Knox United shorts and White Knox United socks can be purchased though the Club, your manager will arrange this with the team, prior to the start of the season with the Equipment Manager.
  • Shin-pads and boots are mandatory to be worn by all players for all games.

How can i register and how much are the fees?
Registration for 2024 will open up during pre-season in February; and the Club with release its registration fees, in the new year, prior to pre-season.
