Refunds & Deregistration

Refunds and deregistraion do happen due to a variety of reasons. Requests for a refund and deregistration are to be approve by the Registrar and Executive Committee.

Requests need to be submitted by 25th of April, 2026 to the Registrar at knoxunitedregistrar@hotmail.com A full refund (minus admin fees) may be approved if requested prior to the stat of the season (11th of April, 2026).
If played in Round 1 or 2 in 2026, a 5% fee of the full registration amount per round will be deducted from refund amount (this is in addition to the admin processing fee).

  • All refunds require an admin processing fee of $25
  • To receive your refund (minus admin fees) you must be DEREGISTERED & APPROVED in Play Football before 11th of April for a Full Refund, or before 25th of April 2026 for 90% refund (if played in Round 1 and 2)!
    Therefore, if you haven’t initiated your deregistration by 5 days prior, we cannot guarantee the process will be complete by 11th or 25th of April 2026 respectively.
  • Refunds will only be considered for exceptional circumstances after the 25th of April 2026.
  • Injured players who wish to claim on FFA Insurance must remain registered.

How to Request a Refund?

  • Step 1: You must DEREGISTER to receive a REFUND of your Registration Fees. Follow these guidelines on How to deregister in my Playfootball Account,
  • Step 2: Advise the Registrar knoxunitedregistrar@hotmail.com who will approve your deregistration
  • Step 3: Advise your Age Coordinator and Manager so they can remove you from the team
  • Step 4: Fill in the Refund Request Form provided by the Registrar (advising any discounts received). We need your bank account details as unfortunately, we have no way of refunding you back through the Play Football system.
  • Step 5: Once approved please allow 3-5 working days for the refund to be processed into your bank account.

How do I initiate my Deregistration via my Play Football account?

Important Notes:

  • A player cannot register with another club until the de-registration has been approved by KUFC and also has 2nd tier approval from NSFA, which can take up to 7 days
  • By law, Active Kids Vouchers cannot be refunded for cash, they can however be transferred to another institution. If you require this to happen, please advise the Registrar and they will request details to transfer your Active Kids Voucher.
  • Why must the de-registration be completed by 25th of April 2026 to get a refund? This allows the club to provide registration numbers to FootballNSW before the census cut-off date. At this date, KUFC will be billed member fees such as insurance and association fees for all Active players in the system.
  • No refunds will be permitted after 25th of April 2026, unless there is exceptional circumstance, please contact KUFC president if this is the case at knoxunited@hotmail.com
