Here at Knox United, we strive to supply our players with high quality coaches to help assist their development.
With the start of a new season, in 2025 Knox United FC welcomes some new coaches to the club in taking the reins of various teams.
The club’s is proud to announce new Men’s All Age Premier League coaches, Dejan Lukic, Milan Mrvic and Yashwin Khanwa. As well as newly promoted Technical Director, Max Couvret.
As the pre-season develops, the club will announce the remaining MAA, Junior and Mini-Roo Coaches.
For some of the clubs Men’s All Age teams and Over 35s team, there are no appointed coaches. Instead, the teams are lead by the Captains and Senior players of the team in conjunction with the team Managers; to help coach and run the teams.

Name: Dejan Lukic
Role/s: Men’s All Age Premier League
First Grade Head Coach
Qualification: UAFA A-License,
Experience: Dejan joins us to continue our journey to becoming the greatest squad in league. Dejan is currently the Director of Coaching at Sydney Victory Football Academy, Head of Football at Abbotsleigh and holds a UEFA A License. Dejan is a former pro footballer across Europe – he started his football career coming through the academy at FK Proleter Zrenjanin, Yugoslavia, before spending a decade playing at the highest level. Recently he has spent time coaching at Bonnyrigg and Marconi. Dejan is looking forward to driving the next period of success with the club and is keen to and work with the Prems and the club.
Name: Milan Mrvic
Role/s: Men’s All Age Premier League
First Grade Assistant Coach
Qualification: AFC B-License
Experience: Milan Mrvic. A former professional footballer himself, Milan is excited to be working with the squad supporting Dejan as the prems prepare for 2025. Milan is also a very highly qualified strength and conditioning coach, which will ensure the prems are at peak fitness for their season.
Name: Max Couvert
Role/s: Technical Director
Qualification: AFC B-License
Experience: Max began his coaching journey in 2020 assisting an NPL SAP team. Since then, Max has taken our Super League teams for a number of seasons from U15 – U18. After becoming the clubs first Club Coaching Co-ordinator in 2023, Max has taken over the role of Technical Director for 2025. Max is also a current 1st grade player for the club, and a coach at Knox Grammar School. Outside of Knox United, Max is currently the U18 Assistant coach at Sydney FC, and is also studying his Masters of High Performance Sport. Max’s goal for 2025 is to provide development opportunities for players of all abilities throughout the club.

Name: Vince Cali
Role/s: Coaching Ambasador
Qualification: AFC B Licence
Experience: Vince has been a long standing coach at Knox United FC for up to 10 years, Coaching multiple teams as the MAA Premier league, MAA Division 3, U14’s Super League and more. He has also been the 1st XI coach at Knox United Prep School for numerous years. Taking a step back Vince has moved into the role of Coaching Ambassador.
